Who we are

A family-run design-build studio in Cookeville, Tennessee — landscapes, lighting, water features, patios, fireplaces and stonework, built by the people who draw them.

Twenty-five years of Tennessee ground.

Designs of Nature began in 2001 in Cookeville, Tennessee, founded by Randy Domingue, whose passion for natural beauty and hands-on craftsmanship shaped the heart of the company. What started as a design-build landscaping business quickly grew into a trusted name for thoughtful outdoor design — including landscapes, lighting, water features, patios, fireplaces, and stonework.

In 2013, Randy partnered with Adam to expand into Middle Tennessee and better serve clients with a broader range of services. Together, they added mowing, maintenance, lighting, patios, and retaining walls, strengthening the company’s ability to care for outdoor spaces from the ground up. What began as a working partnership has grown into a deep friendship — and now, a family bond that fuels the way they work and serve their clients.

Randy and Family

With decades of combined experience, Randy and Adam bring a shared commitment to listening well, designing with intention, and building with care. Every project — whether a landscape renovation, a custom water feature, or a full outdoor living space — reflects their dedication to quality and their belief that outdoor environments should feel natural, inviting, and built to last.

At Designs of Nature, no two projects are the same. We take pride in creating one-of-a-kind spaces that grow more beautiful with time, using only the highest-quality plants and materials. Our goal is simple: exceed expectations and deliver outdoor spaces you’ll enjoy for years to come.

We proudly serve Northeast Arkansas and Tennessee, offering thoughtful design, reliable craftsmanship, and a team that treats every project like it’s their own.

Listen well. Design with intention. Build with care.

Listening well

We start with how you actually want to use the space — then design around the land you already have.

Designing with intention

Landscape, water, stone and light resolved as one composition. No two projects are the same.
