"We believe every outdoor space should feel natural, inviting, and built to last. It starts with listening — then designing with intention, and building with the same care we'd bring to our own backyard."
Designs of Nature began in 2001 in Cookeville, Tennessee, founded by Randy Domingue. In 2013, Randy partnered with Adam to expand into Middle Tennessee, and what started as a working partnership has grown into a family bond that shapes how we serve every client today.

Thoughtful Design for Outdoor Living
From landscapes and lighting to water features, patios, and stonework, we bring decades of hands-on craftsmanship to every outdoor space we build.
01
LANDSCAPING
We design sustainable, plant-focused landscapes that look great in every season, blending flowering shrubs and trees, fall color, evergreens for winter structure, and perennials that evolve throughout the year.
02
WATER FEATURES
We create one-of-a-kind water features in every size — from simple bubbling urns and basalt fountains to pondless waterfalls, streams, full ponds, and recreational swim ponds. Every feature is custom-built to fit its surroundings.
03
LANDSCAPE LIGHTING
We design and install high-quality, low-voltage LED landscape lighting that enhances the beauty, safety, and value of your home — from architectural accent lighting to garden and pathway lighting.
04
PATIOS & FIREPLACES
From cozy fire pits to full outdoor living spaces, we design patios and fireplaces that extend your home into the landscape, built with the same stonework and craftsmanship as the rest of our work.
05
RETAINING WALLS & STONEWORK
Structural and decorative stonework, from retaining walls to walkways and accents, built to hold up through every season while adding lasting character to your property.
